Evergreen stallion Umatilla produced his second stakes winner in a week when Inkster dead heated with Moment In Time in the Listed VRC St Leger over 2800m on Friday.
For good measure the Umatilla filly Devil May Care also won the $75,000 Tasman Handicap over 1000m on the same program.
Trainer Mick Price suggested that Inkster, a huge 600kg filly would now be set for the Melbourne Cup.
Devil May Care is also likely to contest a stakes race in the near future. Her easy win at Flemington suggests she will be competitive in any sprint she participates in.
The Cyberhorse Racing Club has two three year olds by Umatilla. Romanoff Limits and Mystera, close relations to dual Group 2 winner Umaline, are both being trained by Mark Kavanagh. Shares in both horses are available to Club Members.
