Dash For Cash, the sire of the Club's filly "Folly" recorded his first
stakes winner when Extension Of Time won in Adelaide yesterday.
Extension of Time, a beautifully bred two-year-old from the powerful
David Hayes stable, made history when she won the listed two-year-old
event at Cheltenham.
The daughter of Dash for Cash made it two wins in a row following
her impressive last start win in the rich Magic Millions Tasmanian 2YO
Classic at Launceston.
Bred by the Sangster family's Swettenham Stud, Extension of Time was
purchased by prominent bloodstock agent Mark Pilkington for $150,000 at
last year's Magic Millions Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast.
From the former glamour Group winning mare Nina Haraka, Extension of
Time becomes the initial stakes winner for her sire - a former
outstanding racehorse who's made a lightning start to his stud career.
Dash for Cash, a son of Secret Savings, also stands at Victoria's Swettenham Stud.
The win was good news for another of the Club's horses, the filly
Seattle Lass which is already an Adelaide winner. She was very
competitive to Extension Of Time when last in work and given natural
improvement could also be a stakes performer.
Seattle Lass is due to resume her racing career next weekend in Adelaide.
